Henry Mellsop - gold miner drowned at 17
The third son of Charles and Mary, born in Coromandel, he lived on his father's 20 acres and followed in his footsteps as a general labourer/gum digger. His life was cut short when he was one of three men washed washed off a gum digging boat which had left Coromandel for Cape Colville.
