Sheila Lennox Stuart (Hyde)
Sheila was born in Tahiti and came to New Zealand with her parents in 1916. She attended Auckland Girls Grammar School, then worked in the Henderson Borough Council prior to her marriage to Arthur Hyde of Christchurch. She was an enthusiastic gardener, responsible for planting the landmark Norfolk Pines on three cliff top sections at Beachlands. They lived firstly in Drury, then later Papakura and had a beach house at
Beachlands.
