Mellsop Family Reunion being held in Waiuku,New Zealand in March 19th & 20th 2016

VENUE
Descendants are invited to join in celebrating 160 years in NZ, this event will be held in Waiuku on the 19th & 20th March 2016.
Anna Maria Sophia arrived in Auckland on 27th Dec 1856 with her five children. After a stay with nephew James Baylis in Auckland while she found employment for the older members of the family, she then made her way to Waiuku to await the arrival of her husband John and later John Thomas.
This will be a great opportunity for us to visit places they lived and worked on arrival in NZ.
WEEKEND PROGRAMME
March 19: From 9am Saturday morning registrations at the Kentish Hotel, Waiuku,
Morning tea and family group photographs from 10am. We need you to pick up name tags which record what events you are attending over the weekend, even if you are not planning to join the bus trip.
11:15 Bus Trip of landmarks associated with the family's history in the Mauku-Patumahoe-Otaua and Aka Aka districts, with lunch at Wright's Water Gardens midway. Return to Waiuku at 3:30 - 4pm. Time to relax before pre dinner drinks at the Kentish Hotel from 5pm.
7:30 Dinner with Irish music at the Kentish Hotel.
Sunday: Free time in the morning; Waiuku Museum open with items of family interest from 10am till noon. Small entry charge not covered in registration.
1pm St Bride's Mauku, A Service of Celebration and Thanksgiving to mark the 160th Anniversary of the arrival in New Zealand of John and Anna Maria Sophia Mellsop and the Unveiling of a Memorial in memory of Allan and Nellie Wheeler.
2:15 Afternoon Tea served in the church hall following the service.
COST
The cost of each event is outlined below:
Children’s prices applies from 5 years to 15 years.
Children under 5 are free.
The registration fee includes:
· administration costs,
· photocopying
. Saturday morning tea at the Kentish Hotel Waiuku
· Sunday afternoon tea at St Bride’s Church Mauku,
Saturday Lunch at Wrights Water Gardens includes: sandwich, salad, scone coffee and tea. $12.50 children $6.25.
Saturday Bus trip $12, children $8.
Saturday Dinner at the Kentish Hotel –Portside Room $36, children price $10
PARTICIPATION
We are interested in contacting people who would like to participate in the reunion in some way.
On the registration form we are asking for assistance on the day.
There will be a family display at the museum, there may be family who would like to put items/photographs, of historical interest on display.
